Terri Scheck has accepted the position of Front Desk Supervisor at Carlisle Inn Walnut Creek, stating she is thrilled to be back at the Inn, a place she readily calls ‘home.’
Terri’s initial Dutchman Hospitality employment was working as a housekeeper; first at Carlisle Inn Walnut Creek and then moving to Carlisle Inn Sugarcreek for the setup in2003, followed by the grand opening in 2004. Terri also filled the role of Night Auditor before leaving in 2006 to be a full-time mom with three children under three years of age.
A common theme heard when having a conversation with Carlisle Inn Walnut Creek’s long-term staff members is how much they enjoy their work at the Inn. Staff members repeatedly say, “The Inn is like home to me,” and “My co-workers and the guests feel like family,” or “I look forward to coming to work every day.” Like others, Terri Scheck’senthusiasm for her work at the Inn is overflowing and contagious.
The next time you encounter Terri, ask her to share her story – the one that brought her back ‘home’ to Carlisle Inn Walnut Creek. In her new role, Terri declared, “I’m home,” and quickly added, “I look forward to coming to work, and at the end of the day, I don’t want to leave.” Terri’s passion for the Carlisle Inn experience is immediately evident and as GM Marcie Solovyov commented, “Terri has a heart for hospitality. She immediately became a valuable part of our team.”
Congratulations Terri! There really is no place like home.
