Renovation Celebration planned in Bellville

BELLVILLE – The community is invited to a big bash to mark the completion of a major renovation project at Der Dutchman and Carlisle Gifts.

The restaurant and gift shop are hosting a Renovation Celebration on July 8th from 4 to 8 p.m. to show off the results of a six-month-long interior makeover and thank guests for their patience.

“Your understanding during all the changes—from using side entrances to navigating temporary spaces—meant the world to us. We truly hope you find the updates as exciting and rewarding as we do.”

Thoma and his team look forward to welcoming everyone into the beautifully refreshed space that features a new bakery retail area and cafe with a separate guest entrance, upgraded dining and banquet spaces, and a refreshed look throughout.

“There are so many exciting updates that I think our guests are really going to love,” said Der Dutchman General Manager Michael Thoma. “The dining room features all new furniture, including beautiful and incredibly comfortable booths—one of my personal favorites. We’ve also added striking new artwork throughout the restaurant, including photographs that capture the beauty of Amish farm life and stunning quilt pieces that add a special touch of tradition.”

Der Dutchman and Carlisle Gifts are located at 720 State Route 97 West.

The Renovation Celebration on July 8th will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The restaurant’s crowd-pleasing buffet will be available for only $14.99. There will also be prize giveaways, free mini-golf for kids, and a visit by The Rolling Dutchman Donut Truck, all coinciding with the restaurant’s monthly Classic Car Cruise-In.
