Pickleball pro from Middlebury becomes staff coach at Pickle Haus

MIDDLEBURY, Ind. – A local native-turned pickleball pro is ready to help players of all abilities sharpen their skills as the training coach at Pickle Haus, the indoor pickleball facility at Essenhaus.

A sponsored 5.0 athlete who competes professionally on both the PPA and APP tours, Courtney Clark spent several years as an elementary school educator and pickleball instructor in Las Vegas before moving back to the Middlebury area earlier this year. She has been with Pickle Haus since Oct. 1st.

“I’m incredibly excited to be back in the community where I grew up and to now have the chance to give back through teaching pickleball,” said Clark. “This opportunity means a lot to me — not only because I love the game and teaching, but because I know how powerful it can be in building confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging.”

An alumna of Northridge High School and Indiana Wesleyan University with a collegiate background in tennis and track, Clark brings a strong athletic foundation to her role at Pickle Haus, where she provides group lessons and events, one-on-one coaching, coached partner play, skill drills, and clinics.

“We chose her because she’s passionate about helping players of all levels grow and enjoy the game,” explained Pickle Haus Manager Randi Yoder. “As a pro player, she brings great skill and experience to the court, and her energy and fun personality make her a perfect fit!”

Clark also facilitates a new Wednesday junior pickleball after-school program for kids in grades K-12.

“What sets my approach apart is that I meet players where they are,” said Clark. “Whether someone’s picking up a paddle for the first time or working on advanced strategy, I tailor each lesson to the individual’s goals and learning style.”
