Essenhaus to host final Classic Car Cruise-in of 20th Season

MIDDLEBURY – Another cruise-in season is coming to an end at Das Dutchman Essenhaus, but there’s still one more chance to enjoy the festivities.

The final cruise-in of 2025 is Thursday, Sept. 25, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., closing out a milestone year of food, fellowship, and hot rods.

“Celebrating this 20th season of Cruise-Ins has been so enjoyable!” said Essenhaus Events Coordinator Angela Miller. “We had fun mini-events throughout the season, and this year has been heavily attended. We appreciate all the support we have received from our local community and are thankful to our constant cruisers that make every Thursday a joy.”

The first event was held in 2006 and had around 25 entries. Participation has increased steadily ever since, surpassing 1,600 at the 2024 season finale. Campus leaders hope to shatter that record on Thursday but are more focused on enjoying everyone’s company, the great weather, and the fun-filled atmosphere.

“Starting the Cruise-In as a breakroom conversation over lunch with Steve Payne, it was an idea that we never guessed would grow to what it is today,” said Campus Manager Joel Miller. “Our finale is the biggest night of the year, and we are looking forward to all the variety we will see!”

The food vendors for Thursday’s finale are Harmony Hollow, Kettle Corn, One Smith Cookie, Rulli’s, and Vanilla Bean Creamery.

The first cruise-in of 2026 will take place on May 7 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. The season then continues each Thursday during the same timeframe through the end of September.
