PLAIN CITY – The 2025 DHG Employee Awards Banquet for Southern Ohio was held on May 12th at Der Dutchman Plain City.
Two team members were surprised with Excellence Awards for exemplifying six outstanding traits: a desire to serve, dependability, enthusiasm, a great work ethic, problem-solving skills, and organization:
Omar Rodriguez (left) is a dishwasher at Der Dutchman Plain City, a role he has held since June of 2022. Co-workers describe Omar as kind, dependable, hardworking, and someone they turn to whenever issues arise. He faces every challenge with a smile and can-do attitude, stays on task, and is always willing to take the extra step for a customer or teammate.
Kenneth “Kenny” Breckler joined the Maintenance team at the Der Dutchman and Carlisle Gifts location in Bellville in September of 2023. Co-workers say he’s kind, caring, and has a great work ethic, always going above and beyond to keep everything clean and running smoothly. While not part of his official duties, Kenny isn’t afraid to jump on the cooks’ line or help with prep in a bind.
