SARASOTA (June 25, 2025) – The votes are tallied, and Der Dutchman is among the 10 Best Buffets in the country.
The restaurant placed third out of 20 finalists in the 2025 USA Today Readers’ Choice Award Contest. General Manager Manuel Aguilar and his team are appreciative of the recognition.

Located at 3713 Bahia Vista St., Der Dutchman has been serving up endless helpings of traditional Amish cuisine and homemade baked goods in Sarasota’s Pinecraft neighborhood since 1985. The restaurant and bakery are open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards highlight the best of the best in various travel and lifestyle categories, including destinations, food and drink, and attractions. A panel of experts nominate their picks in each category. The 10Best editors then narrow it down to the finalists, before opening the contest up to online voting.
