SARASOTA, FL – Der Dutchman Restaurant is in the running for a USA Today Readers’ Choice Award for Best Buffet in the country.
The restaurant is among the finalists in an online poll to determine the nation’s 10 Best buffet-style eateries. Diners can visit the contest page at 10best.usatoday.com and vote for Der Dutchman once per day until Monday, June 16, at noon (EST). The 10 Best Buffets will then be revealed on Wednesday, June 25.
Located at 3713 Bahia Vista St., Der Dutchman has been serving up traditional Amish cuisine and baked goods in Sarasota’s Pinecraft neighborhood since 1985. Guests can choose from the menu or feast from a garden-fresh salad bar and buffet stocked with comfort food favorites including slow-roasted meats and real mashed potatoes. Summer hours are Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
